  • System Training for Emotional Predictability and Problem Solving for Borderline Personality Disorder (STEPPS)

System Training for Emotional Predictability and Problem Solving for Borderline Personality Disorder (STEPPS) is a 20-week manualised group treatment programme based on cognitive-behavioural skills. It is delivered as an adjunct treatment for adults with a diagnosis of borderline personality disorder. Group members learn specific emotion and behaviour management skills. They identify key professionals, friends, and family members as part of their ‘reinforcement team’ and these individuals learn to reinforce and support the newly learned skills.
